Roadrunners win easily in Chattanooga

Dalton State College’s women’s volleyball team strolled to a win in Chattanooga on Tuesday night, beating Tennessee Temple 25-10, 25-18, 25-11.

The Roadrunners, who improved to 5-2 with the non-conference victory, never trailed in the first or second frame of the best-of-five match. They took their first lead of the second set at 10-9 and didn’t trail again.

Dalton State is in its second season of competition in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. Tennessee Temple (3-7) is a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association.

The Roadrunners play three Southern States Athletic Conference matches on the road — Sept. 16 at Brenau University in Gainesville, Sept. 19 at Loyola-New Orleans and Sept. 20 at the University of Mobile (Ala.) — before returning home Sept. 26 to face Belhaven University of Jackson, Miss., in league play.
