Dalton boys golfers Hardin Chambless and Landon Painter and Chatsworth’s Tori Owens will represent northwest Georgia in the Georgia State Golf Association’s Junior Sectional Challenge Match on Sunday and Monday at The Landings Golf Club in Savannah.

Hardin (12-13 age division) will play 18 holes each day, while Painter (11-under) and Owens (12-13) will play nine hole rounds each day.

The stroke play event will be played on the Marshwood and Magnolia courses at The Landings. Georgia is divided into six sections, and participants in the challenge match earn their spots by accumulating points in their section’s qualifying events, which took place in June and July. The top point earners in each division advance from their sectional.

The East section totaled 51.5 points to claim the 40th annual Junior Sectional Challenge Match at The Georgia Club in Statham last year.
