Today’s girls basketball game tips off at 6 p.m. at Chattanooga’s Notre Dame High School, while the boys game is scheduled to follow at 8 p.m.
The Team Georgia girls, who will be led by Southeast Whitfield coach Mike Durham, include Southeast’s Wendy Perez and Northwest Whitfield’s Halle Ford, Mallory Souther and Macy Weeks.
Northwest reached the Class 4A state tournament each of the past two seasons and advanced to the second round this year. Southeast ended its season one win from qualifying for the state tournament each of the past two seasons. Ford was named The Daily Citizen’s All-Area Girls Basketball Player of the Year this season, while Perez and Weeks each made the All-Area Team and Souther earned honorable mention.
Georgia’s boys will be led by Dade County coach Glen Hicks. No players from Murray or Whitfield counties are on the roster for Team Georgia.
