Dodging rain, snow and cold temperatures has been a theme for most spring sports squads in Murray and Whitfield counties over the first month of the season.

Coahulla Creek High School’s boys and girls tennis teams have tried to get games in where they could along the way and so far the season has been perfect for both teams.

That trend continued on Monday against Adairsville at Edwards Park as both teams stayed undefeated through four games, with the boys winning 4-1 while the Lady Colts won 3-2.

“It’s real exciting for our teams to get off to such a good start,” Lady Colts coach Laura Jager said. “We’re trying to take it match by match so far this season.”

In the boys match, the Colts got singles wins from No. 2 Chase Lynch, 6-0, 6-2, and No. 3 Austin Lansing, 6-1, 6-4. In doubles, No. 1 Alex Fisher and Nathan Johnson won 6-2, 6-1 while No. 2 Drew Satterfield and Ryan Greene won 6-2, 6-3.
