Murray County 7, Armuchee 1
Maddie Jenkins was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Natalie O’Neal had three RBIs as Murray County earned its first win of the season on Saturday at home over Armuchee, 7-1.

Kylie Usrey pitched the first five innings to earn the win. Brooklyn Gonzalez and Hannah Langley each finished with two hits and a double.
The Lady Indians (1-1) travel to North Murray at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Dalton 7, South Cobb 1 (game 1)
Dalton picked up its first win of the season by taking down South Cobb in the first game of a home doubleheader on Saturday 7-1.
Emily Brunson earned the win, pitching the first four innings with seven strikeouts. She allowed just one hit and walked only one batter.
Hope Parker was 1-for-1 with two RBIs, while Claire Archer was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Natalie Moya was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI and Zoe Dales also had a double and an RBI.

Dalton 18, South Cobb 3 (game 2) (five innings)
Dalton defeated South Cobb in its second game Saturday, 18-3.
The Lady Catamounts (2-2, 2-2 in Region 6-6A) recorded eight hits, led by Dales and Gracie Young who each had two hits and one RBI. Keen Johnson and Moya each finished with three RBIs. Jazmin Rodrigues was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored.
Hope Parker picked up the win in 1 1/3 innings pitched.
Dalton hosts Creekview at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday.
Northwest Whitfield 6, North Oconee 0 (six innings)
Northwest Whitfield won its first game of the Carrollton Leadoff Slam Tournament on Saturday in Carrollton over North Oconee, 6-0.
Alex Smith pitched all six innings in the win with six strikeouts.
Katelyn Hannah finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored, while Payton Tuder was 1-for-3 with two RBIs to lead the offense. Torrey Cummings had a double.
Northwest Whitfield 6, Starr’s Mill 0 (six innings)
Northwest (3-0) recored 10 hits in its second win at the Carrollton Leadoff Slam Tournament on Saturday over Starr’s Mill, 7-0.
Molly Middleton led the team finishing 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Tuder was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI on a triple and a double, while Shaylen Sutton finished 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Alyson Jarvi hit a home run.
Destin Jewell pitched all six innings in the win with four strikeouts.
The Lady Bruins travel to Ridgeland at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday.
