Southeast’s Torres scores pair of goals in victory

Southeast Whitfield’s boys soccer team won its Region 6-3A opener, 4-1, at Heritage-Catoosa on Wednesday.

Sammy Torres led the Raiders (2-1) with two goals, while Mickey Guerrero and Marcario Gutierrez added one apiece. Armando Morales had a pair of assists, one on a corner kick, and Osciel Fabela had one.

Heritage’s lone goal came on a corner kick with 10 seconds left.

The Lady Raiders (1-2) lost 3-0 to Heritage, also in a region opener.
