Boys Dalton 2, Woodland 1

Dalton (8-3-1) took down Region 7-5A opponent Woodland (7-2) 2-1 on Thursday night.

Woodland scored first in the game, but Dalton’s Angel Salaises answered and left the game tied at 1-1 at half.

Salvador Martinez put in the go-ahead goal in the second half, and Dalton held on for the win.

Dalton gets back in the win column in region play after losing its previous region game against Cass.

The Catamounts play Pebblebrook Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Coahulla Creek 6, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 1

Coahulla Creek (7-4-1) powered past Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (2-5) 6-1 in a Region 6-3A game Thursday.

Miguel Arredondo put in three Coahulla Creek goals and dished an assist. Alex Rodriguez had a pair of goals, and Omar Mendiola scored one. Kye Farner had an assist.

The Colts will play at Ringgold on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Christian Heritage 2, Ridgeland 0

Christian Heritage (4-4) won 2-0 over Ridgeland (6-7) Thursday night.

Jose Ojeda and Carson Russell each scored a goal. Ojeda assisted on Russell’s goal, and Russell assisted for Ojeda.

The Lions, which started the season 1-4, have now won three games in a row.

Christian Heritage hosts Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe tonight at 7.

Girls Dalton 4, Woodland 0

Dalton (5-3-2) earned a 4-0 Region 7-5A win over Woodland (5-2) on senior night Thursday.

Andrea Dominguez put in a pair of goals, and Kendra Delgado and Aliyah Rosales each scored one.

America Quintero preserved the shutout with a clean sheet in goal.

Dalton plays at Lambert Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

Coahulla Creek 3, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 0

Coahulla Creek (7-4) shut out Region 6-3A opponent Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (2-4-1) 3-0 Thursday.

Lilli Johnson and Nathalie Cuenca both tallied a goal and an assist, while Sandra Ramirez scored a goal.

The Lady Colts play at Ringgold on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Ridgeland 8, Christian Heritage 1

Christian Heritage (2-5) lost 8-1 at Ridgeland (3-9) Thursday.

Ridgeland led 2-0 at halftime, then pushed the lead to 4-0 before the Lady Lions put in a goal off the foot of Andi Bolger. Ridgeland scored four more to close the game.

Christian Heritage hosts Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe on Friday at 5 p.m.
