A pair of Southeast Whitfield High School soccer standouts signed recently with collegiate soccer programs during a joint signing ceremony at the school.

Southeast’s Victor Cordoba signed with Dominican University, while Josh Lopez made his decision to play at Drury University official.

Cordoba, a goalkeeper, led a six-game shutout streak during the 2024 season for Southeast and was named to the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Class 4A All-State team. Cordoba was named the Region 7-4A Defensive Player of the Year and to the Region 7-4A first team.

Lopez, a center back during the 2024 season for the Raiders, helped anchor a Southeast defense that was instrumental in an 12-game undefeated streak. Lopez also was named to the Region 7-4A first team.

Southeast responded from an 0-4 start in 2024 to go on an 12-game streak without a loss and claim the Region 7-4A championship. Lopez assisted on the game-winning goal over Northwest Whitfield to seal the region title.
