Dalton State soccer: Roadrunners blank Brescia 6-0

The Dalton State College men’s soccer team took care of Brescia 6-0 Thursday as a part of the Dalton Classic event at Dalton Stadium.
The Roadrunners led 2-0 at half and poured on four more goals in the second half on the way to the shutout win.

Giovanni Poilero scored the first goal off an assist from Kazuma Ishizuka at 10:54, and Jack Stainrod put in the second goal four minutes later.
Four minutes after half, Antonio Bittenourt scored on another Ishizuka assist.
Leonardo Seixas put in a goal in the 57th minute, Jip van den Essen scored in the 61st and Nico Cuna capped the scoring in the 69th.
Cuna’s goal was the second career collegiate goal for the sophomore graduate of Northwest Whitfield High School.
Dalton held a commanding 40-3 shot advantage over Brescia. 20 of DSC’s attempts were shots on goal, but the Roadrunners allowed just one of Brescia.
Dalton State plays Columbia International on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. to close out the event.
