Ringgold scores 41 in the first half in rout of Murray County

Ringgold scored 41 first-half points on the way to a 48-7 win over Murray County Friday night.

Murray County (0-2) had just one net yard of offense at halftime as Ringgold (2-0) sprinted out to the 41-0 lead. Ringgold led 21-0 after a quarter.

Ringgold extended the lead to 48-0 in the third before the Indians finally got on the board.

Mason Rogers got in for the lone Murray County score with 30 seconds left in the third.

Murray County has beaten Ringgold more than any other team, going 30-26-1 all time against the Tigers, but Ringgold is catching up.

Friday’s game marked the third straight win for the Tigers.

Murray County hosts Southeast Whitfield next Friday night at 7:30.
