Northwest’s Campbell to continue playing softball at Wesleyan College in Macon

Northwest Whitfield High School’s Staesha Campbell, seated center, signed recently with the softball program at Wesleyan College in Macon.

Northwest Whitfield High School senior softball standout Staesha Campbell is staying in-state to continue playing softball collegiately.

Campbell signed last week with the softball program at Wesleyan College in Macon.

Wesleyan is a private all-women’s college and competes athletically at the NCAA Division III level.

Campbell played at third base and in the outfield as a senior for the Lady Bruins. She held a .266 batting average while tallying 25 hits as a senior, including five doubles and a pair of triples. Campbell put up 11 RBIs on the season and was named to the All-Region 7-4A honorable mention list.

Wesleyan competes in Division III’s Collegiate Conference of the South. Wesleyan finished the 2024 regular season 6-23 and went 2-14 in conference play, finishing eighth in the nine-team conference.
