Christian Heritage School’s Ariana Battle waits for a pitch.

A rising sophomore, Christian Heritage School’s Ariana Battle loves to go to battle on the softball diamond and the basketball and tennis courts.

“I would describe myself as very competitive and an overachiever,” Battle said. “I always expect more out of myself especially when it comes to sports.”

Battle plays on the Christian Heritage softball team, girls basketball team and girls tennis teams.

“I’ve always played softball and basketball since I was little, but basketball has always been to stay in shape during the softball off-season. My freshman year, I joined the school’s tennis team because there wasn’t many girls playing and to play a sport my sister played in high school.”

As she prepares for her sophomore season as a utility player at catcher, first base or third base, Battle answered a few questions about her life in sports and out.
